Subheadline spaceWenneker Woodworks, located in beautiful Midland, Ontario is your source for high-quality custom woodwork. The business is owned and operated by Koen Wenneker, who took over the family business from his father Charles in 2023. Charles founded the business in his hometown of Hoek van Holland in the Netherlands in 1988. After immigrated to Canada in December of 1999, he relocated his business to its current location on Highway 93. Koen and Charles continue to work together to this day and strive to maintain the high quality of work it has produced throughout the years.
While in Holland, Charles started his career in the summer of 1975 and developed himself towards a fine woodworker, cabinet maker and worked in the restoration of buildings and furniture. He developed his eye for detail and his ability to sculpt and shape wood while restoring the antique woodwork found in some of Holland’s oldest and most admired historical buildings. Since moving to Midland, Charles has built a solid base of nautical and residential clients who appreciate the level of quality and workmanship found in all Wenneker Woodworks products, some of which can be viewed in our photo gallery.
In 2020, Charles’ youngest son, Koen, joined the family business permanently. Koen has always had an interest in the trade; even as a young child he loved following his dad around the workshop, watching and learning, and spent his free time creating and experimenting with wood. Koen is a highly driven individual keen on continuing the business into the next generation. Under Charles’ guidance, Koen has developed into a professional and proficient woodworker, and continues to advance in his ability to produce high quality wood products that will last a lifetime.
Wenneker Woodworks is dedicated to quality workmanship and great customer service. Their extensive experience enables them to effectively interpret their clients’ creativity and transform it into specialty custom woodwork. With Charles European influence and years of experience, and Koen’s modern perspective they add multiple dimensions to their work.
Wenneker Woodworks operates out of their 3700 square foot woodworking facility equipped with a wide variety of machinery and tools and offer mobile services to accommodate any project. Wenneker Woodworks service area encompasses an area approximately 25 miles in diameter - It includes the following areas: Midland, Penetanguishene, Lafontaine, Thunder Beach, Southern Muskoka, Barrie and Wasaga Beach, as well, by occasion only, outside these areas.
